The key to surviving winter may be UNIQLO. It is no secret that I love UNIQLO. The reason is simple: they offer clean, well designed, functional, and affordable pieces for the whole family. Pieces that you will actually wear on repeat. They also do great collaborations. If you missed my earlier post about their Alexander Wang collaboration then check it out. I just received my Heat Tech, NO REGRETS! Here are two other pieces you should really consider. The Ultra Light Compact Down Vest is a slim layering piece that will go undetected. It costs $39.90. Wear it under a blazer, coat, or over a blouse. The alternative to the vest is the Ultra Light Compact Down Jacket. The jacket will cost you $59.90. Both are amazing adding zero bulk to your look. They will help keep you toasty. I personally live in a vest from now through April. Add the Heat Tech for optimal happiness and warmth. Happy Winter Folks!
Evolve with Woolrich. A company with American roots is making a strong return. Meet a refreshing alternative and perhaps the happy medium between Canada Goose and Moncler. Both are very loved among city dwellers. Walk down the street and count them to see how common they have become. Hey I admit I’m in that camp. You can’t deny the quality of both brands. But I think it is a good time to consider other options if you are contemplating a new outerwear piece.
Woolrich, you have my attention with your stylish ways. Woolrich is dialing into an urban style with a cool, hip, and creative way. Just take a peek at their Fall/ Winter campaign called American Soul. This collaboration with Ms. Lauryn Hill has completely sold out. They have balanced their new creative shift in a direction without losing sight of their heritage. The iconic pattern, Buffalo Check remains strong. If you haven’t checked out their website recently you are missing out. Also their collaboration with Jeff Griffin from Loveland Farm is legit. Woolrich is defiantly worth exploring. Their prices do seem to reflect their new competitiveness.

Even their classic collection comes in a ray of styles and colors. For the longest time there have been few options when it comes to rainwear. This is no longer the case. A rain jacket is one outerwear piece that everyone needs to have in their arsenal. This capsule collection could warrant having two just for the fun it. Personally, I love my Rains jacket from their classic collection. It has served me well. My dear friend, on the other hand, has unfortunately not experienced dry days with her Rains. I truly believe it is a one-off! Being headquartered in Denmark this company has plenty of experience with rainy days. Here is to singing in your Rains!
